I finally got a lucid dream last night and it was one of the coolest things ever...I used to try all the methods but gave up and then last night I tried a reality check in my dream and became lucid

Anyone do it consistently? I'd like to be able to more often

I do- not sure how but it seems like it consistently happens.

I will also dreams days or weeks at a time and its fairly disconcerting.

If I am really tired like can hardly keep my eyes open i am guaranteed a lucid dream.

I'm pretty drunk and an 30. With that said, last night's dream was a flash back and it was awesome. It was spring break in Florida and we had a room full of 15ish people on the beach and a skinny stranger girl and I fricked til 3 in the morning, only for everyone to talk about the next day. Good times.

I've tried the method where you just lay motionless for 25 minutes and slowly let your body relax. After this happens you are supposedly suppose to start feeling a heavy weight on your chest. As soon as the weight is lifted you are in some weird arse limbo state of being half-awake. It is from there that you can lucid dream.

I got about 10 minutes into the relaxing part and was about to explode from the tension building in my legs. So no.

I frequently experience lucid dreams, usually once a week, completely unplanned and I wasn't even aware there were methods to try to get them. They are cool though.

I have had lucid dreams, but they never last very long. Usually as soon as I realize I am dreaming I wake up shortly after.

I have extremely realistic nightmares, I've felt pain from dreams before.

Although I also have residual schizophrenia, so that could be a factor.

I'm talking lucid dreams where you become aware you're dreaming and can control the dream

Never have, but it sounds like I'd sleep the rest of my life away if I figured out how to.

I never get over 6 hrs of sleep and have to be exausted and / or buzzed to go to sleep though. Thanks, war..

In one of your lucid dreams, take a look in your pants. We're all pornstars in our dreams.

Me. I lucid dream like once a week. Flying is the funnest, but sometimes I like to pretend I'm a medieval King and go to all the whore houses and have fun.

I had a dream the other night I was back in high school and I was absent for a test and the teacher wouldn't let me make it up. At some point in the dream I remembered that I graduated HS 4 years ago and I was like... "why am I even worried about this?". Not exactly a lucid dream, but close. This isn't the first time I've done it either.

I have heard the best way to try and have a lucid dream is after you wake up, keep your eyes closed and just keep thinking about what you were dreaming of in as much detail possible until you drift off again. But, like I said I have never had a lucid dream that lasted more than 5 or 10 seconds. Or at least that's how long it seemed. And even that rarely happens.

Not too long ago I was on a specific combo of meds for my insomnia. The times that it put me to sleep, I had lucid dreams. They were pretty cool at first. Something freaky would always happen when I looked at digital numbers though (like on a microwave or DVR screen) and would cause me to wake up. Unfortunately I also started sleep walking while on these meds which eventually led to some nighttime excursions outside my home...so they yanked that prescription with the fierceness
