Yeldon looked like 2012 Yeldon, hopefully it's a sign of things to come

He didn't dance, he didn't fumble. He got up field, made guys miss, and finished runs hard.

Only A-Day, but I think he definitely sent a message to the other backs that the line for playing time is still behind him. And he sent a message to opposing defenses that he's got something to prove.

I know it's only A-Day but people who were putting Yeldon in a coffin were just overreacting to Henry's awesomeness in the Sugar Bowl.

TJ Yeldon is on track to break Shaun Alexander's career rushing record and he's set to do it in only three years. It took Shaun Alexander four years to break the previous record holder's record.

Also...2013 Yeldon was right on par with 2012 Yeldon stats wise.

2012 Rushing Yards: 1,108 yards
2013 Rushing Yards: 1,235 yards

2012 YPC: 6.3
2013 YPC: 6.0

2012 Rushing TDs: 12
2013 Rushing TDs: 14

Yes, but there was no denying that suddenly he went from getting downhill fast to dancing around and going sideways. He made big plays, but that was just a bi-product of him growing as an athlete. Combine even more growth with him getting back to Freshman vision and cuts, and you've got something awesome.

This is true. But that may have been partially due to an inferior offensive line. That offensive line in 2012 was one of the best run blocking lines I have ever seen. The '13 offensive line wasn't nearly as good.

But yeah, Yeldon did lose a step due to his dancing.

Coming from a Yeldon doubter...I'll be happy as frick to eat my words. He looked explosive and he seemed he was out there to prove something. I like that Yeldon. I'm really excited about this year...I kind of love the unknown aspect of this season. Fall really needs to get here.

In 2012, he got to run behind one of the best OL in CFB history.

Yeldon's obviously got the talent, but I also think he works better as part of a tandem.

I wish the other part of the tandem wouldn't have gone mia against Auburn.

He didnt go MIA. We knew exactly where he was. On the bench. He averaged 8.3 YPC in the game.

And he's within range of the TD record as well.

Needs 16 TDs to tie Ingram, 17 to break.

Yeldon really ran well though. He doesn't have elite speed, but I feel like he's gonna bust some runs this year. He was finishing HARD.

Yeah it looks like Yeldon's getting his "burst" back after beefing up and losing a step or so last year....JMHO
