Rant, I need you (away games)

Hey guys, next year the band is only going to Florida for away games. It's my last season and be damned if I am not at least going to USCe and Mizzou. I know it's early, but I'm curious if anyone has plans for those two trips. Never actually been to a game as a student, so the whole thing is foreign to me.

I went to missouri 2 years ago, won't go this year just due to there not being a real reason to honestly. I can give you some recommendations in the fall though.
SC should be easier since a ton of people will be going to that one.

Also, let me know when you have a minute to debrief the G-day Sousa-Vision beta-test. I want to bounce some ideas and constructive criticism off of you to try and maybe fine-tune the broadcasts this fall. Like actually having pics, etc. Thanks.

Why aren't we taking the band to Carolina? That seems weird... The others I get (Arkansas, Kentucky, Mizzou are all a hike) but Columbia, SC is way closer to home than Florida.

It's really difficult for me to move them into an album while still doing what I have to do, so my plan was to have it live stream via imgur, in a sense. Alternatively, I could write a script to run on my desktop to post every so often to the thread when I upload pictures. Shouldn't be too hard.

The band always travels to Florida (since the 50s). I found it odd we're not going to USCe, but maybe since we did 4 away games last year, Athletics doesn't want to pay for a second this year. It's a bummer for sure...

I see those pics. Well done! .....but when I went back and read the Live thread you did on G day, the pics didnt come through.
And that was just with a half empty G day crowd.
How long before The Game are you allowed into the stadium? Is there a walk-through practice on game-day? What is your access to the field on game-days? Is it just during halftime?
Maybe just snap a shite load of pics all day....and then post them afterwards.... Just brainstorming here....

We enter the stadium right after Dawg Walk, so about 2 hours prior to kickoff. We're on the field a few "minutes" prior to halftime and in the tunnels before the game for the pregame show. We also have early as hell morning practices, so on a normal day, I'd take pictures starting at like 7 AM. I plan to take as many as I can without getting people upset that my phone is always out.

What the hell, the band is not going to Mizzou, USCjr, or any other away game. That is crazy. It's not like the school has money issues. They have deeper pockets than Mark Cuban! That's cheap. Yea, let's Hyiame Bloomberg the band to save a little money.

Last year we didn't have Clemson on our original schedule. We complained and it was added mid April. Perhaps if enough people email the AD, we could have a repeat.

USCe was an ok trip until the game. Went the morning of because we were in ATL for the infield fly game the night before. Drank all day and they have decent tailgating. Fun to walk around and it's very open although it's kind of a dump compared to our campus. We were planning on going out that night, but we were pissed and someone was sober so they drove us back to Athens that night.
You should definitely go though, one of the best college football atmospheres I've been too. I'm sure it'll be just as hyped this year.
