Admittedly wasn't able to keep an eye on your spring this year but was just curious about his progression through the spring. The two big areas he had problems with last year that I saw was long ball accuracy and decision making at times (he would try to force a lot of balls).

Any update on how those two areas looked in the spring? This is the first time i can ever remember the State of Mississippi having two solid quarterbacks at both of the big schools at the same time.

Going to be a lot of sad pandas in Starkville this year.

His long ball accuracy has improved tremendously. We won't know about his decision making until his first test of the season really. Anywho, if you go and watch him against Rice, he was throwing dimes to Lewis on a whole bunch of corner/out routes down the field. I know it's Rice, but accuracy has nothing to do with your opponent. You either get the ball to him perfectly or not

As good as he played in the 4th quarter against us, he still had one or two throws that he forced (one of which could have been a pick 6 if Prewitt holds on to it). But young quarterbacks are going to try and make ridiculous throws.

I still think his best game of the season was the A&M game. I went and watched that game the other day and he was unreal.

I'm impressed. I really think, deep down, you want to jump on board.

He kind of is on board by default. His whole family outside of his mom went to State. HJJ hates USM way more than us.

I think he has progressed well this spring, but I think the hype might be a little overboard. No reasonable state fan really thinks Dak will have a Heisman type year, but I definitely think he will have a really good season.

Like you said, he needs to show he can consistently make better decisions and become more comfortable in the pocket and get through all his reads.

There's no "Don't know if", he won't win it.

We need Bundy to predict him not to win it.

My expectation (/hope) is to stay healthy and play all
12 regular season games. If that happens, 3k+ yards of total offense and 30ish total TDs is a fair expectation.

If you extrapolate his stats from last year over a full season, he would have surpassed these numbers...

If he and the o-line stay healthy Dak should be able to get to 4,000 yards offense.
