Texas A&M, post Johnny Manziel, will have a long year in the SEC...

Auburn and Florida found out, first-hand, how hard it is to replace players like Cam Newton and Tim Tebow. Players that could pretty much dominate a game at any time, carry a team on their back, and be relied on way too much (for the good or the bad)... Auburn and Florida both saw immediate problems on offense while trying to replace these two.
On to Texas A&M... Kevin Sumlin typically has an explosive offense, and has wherever he's been. However, he won't only be replacing Johnny Manziel, he will be replacing him with a true freshman. You don't just replace a Heisman trophy winner, especially not with a true freshman, and expect to not see a pretty sizable downgrade.
***Auburn offense in 2010: 39.6 PPG
***Auburn offense in 2011: 24.9 PPG
***Florida offense in 2007: 42.5 PPG
***Florida offense in 2008: 41.6 PPG
***Florida offense in 2009: 33.8 PPG
***Florida offense in 2010: 28.3 PPG
The bolded areas designate the teams PPG total the year after Cam Newton, with Auburn, and Tim Tebow, with Florida, left for the NFL Draft.
I don't know about any other SECRanters, but I think Texas A&M fans will quickly find out how hard it is to replace a player with that type of impact. Especially when they are the best player in that team's history...being replaced by a true freshman...in the SEC...

Texas A&M is gonna need to focus more on the defensive side of the ball if they even want to sniff a 6 win season with a bowl berth.
I'm predicting 4-8 for the Aggies.

You think A&M will go 0-8 in conference play...because that's the only way they go 4-8. This is from the fan of a team that lost to an FCS team in its home opener right after winning their conference.

Pretty sure the two NFL hall of famers (Kevin Smith and Lester Hayes) are better historical A&M players than Manziel was.

Auburn, with a terrible defense in 2011 and without Cam Newton, was able to muster 8 wins. Florida, the year after replacing Tim Tebow, was able to manage 9 wins, IIRC...even though they had a much better defense to help.

I'd be surprised if we win a game.

Just because Johnny got the most media attention of any player in our history doesn't mean he was the greatest.

What happened when Tennessee lost Peyton?

You're going to find out really quick how much of an impact he really had.

If so, you will be the only one.

So will you when you don't recognize the A&M offense next year.

We had the best offense in SEC history with a redshirt freshman at QB so ya

Kyle Allen isn't Johnny Manziel, either.
