So apparently some sort of shindig is going on back in T-Town. Well I'm here with family in Birmingham and tonight, the Crimson Tide will face 5 other teams to crown a National Champion in the BCJJ Arena.

Alabama tied for first place with the highest semifinal score of 12 teams with a 197.650. Florida and Oklahoma (with maybe LSU) look to be our biggest competition.

The arena was rocking with crimson and white for the normally sparsely attended semifinals.

The party starts at 6pm. I hear the scrimmmage back home will start at 1.... so plenty of time to do both!

Roll Tide! And may the odds be ever in our favor!

Oh, we're also undefeated at the National Title as hosts (1991,1996,2002).... let's keep it going girls!

Team leaves the Winfrey hotel at 2:20. Twitter saying there's a lot of Gator and Georgia fans at the hotel to send off their teams but not a lot of crimson.

We'll be in attendance again tonight!

Kim Jacob won the All Around title last night, too.

I have a feeling the ladies are bringing home #7 tonight!

I'll be there. If we can replicate last night, with slightly better scores on the bars, we'll be winning this thing

I'm here now. We got a pretty crappy rotation of bye, floor, vault, bye, bars, and finishing on beam, but I think we can still put some pressure on the other teams if we put up big scores early..

They seem to have replaced Georgia as our kryptonite.

Oh y'all.

When Diandra fell off the beam, the whole arena kind of held their breath and then the next four ladies got good scores and the place got rowdy again. With Kim up last, it looked like Bama had a great shot at winning.

Then she fell on her mount.

The air just got sucked out of the arena.

When she finished and got back to the pen with the rest of the team, she just collapsed in tears and the whole team surrounded her.

It was just heartbreaking. We had it.
