After watching these two coaches over the years, I find myself comparing them to each other. Maybe its just because they both coach in the landmass.

After the game last night, I thought to myself "Self, there's no way Cohen doesn't get tossed from that game. No way!" Bianco made several trips out of the dugout to question calls, and each time I sat back and waited for it, especially on those 2 pitches Nola got. But it never came. He stayed calm, made his points, and that was it. There was no running out of the dugout acting a fool like Cohen.

Just looking at the LSU series with each this year so far you can see it. IMO, Bianco had more reason to be upset in last nights game than Cohen did in the entire series in BR. Look how that played out. I think the way Bianco carries himself and acts on the field warrants more respect than his counterpart in starkvegas and that can go a long way with the committee. Cohen might have the edge in player development and getting the most out of his guys, but as far as gameday coaching and attitude on the field, I take Bianco all day.

Thoughts....

In your dreams.

I actually enjoy watching ole miss this year. Gritty hitters. They made Nola work last night but he's just too good

So the fact that Bianco didn't get tossed makes him a better coach? Pretty comprehensive assessment. I'm impressed!

This is funny.

Bianco has gotten the best of Cohen in the head to head each of the past 2 years. Prior to that, he had beaten him once in 10 head to head series.

Cohen accomplished more at Kentucky than Bianco has accomplished at Ole Miss.

I wouldn't say Bianco is a better coach, may be a better person though. Cohen is a douche

If you just count regular season success you may have a case.

How much time have you spent one on one with John; or Mike for that matter? Steve Sloan and Rocky Felker are really, really nice people. Did they lack the fire to be good coaches? Cohen is thinking baseball 24/7. I am sure it takes its toll on his mental psyche.

No he didn't. He made 2 NCAAT in 5 years and never made a super. Pump the brakes a little bit bud. Bianco has underwhelmed at ole miss but don't be ignorant. Until last season Cohen hadn't done as much his entire career as Bianco has.

I'll take a fiery coach over a whining pussy all day every day.

And Bianco just happens to be neither of those..

Even more so, with the success that Cohen has had he still acts like a pre-pubescent teen trying to prove a point to everyone. Let your players and coaching do your talking. No need to act the way he often does is the way I see it

Yeah - that sums up the total bodies of work over 40 years combined of coaching. Maybe it's just the evening crowd on here where you can actually talk to baseball people. It certainly isn't here in the day time.

If you are a guy that doesn't get fired up you get called out for not caring. If you get into the game you get called out for being obnoxious.

I don't mind having a guy that obviously cares about the job he is being paid to do.
