(shyt!..... holding my tongue)

Poor Kimberley Davis.

The 21-year-old Australian woman was livid when she slammed into a bicyclist while texting late last year, putting dents in her car. The victim suffered a spinal fracture and would spend the next three months in a hospital, but Davis wasn't having any of it, The Standard reports.

"I just don’t care because I’ve already been through a lot of bullshite and my car is, like, pretty expensive and now I have to fix it," she told a responding officer two days after the Sept. 20 collision. "I’m kind of pissed off that the cyclist has hit the side of my car. I don’t agree that people texting and driving could hit a cyclist. I wasn’t on my phone when I hit the cyclist."

Davis, of Port Fairy, pleaded guilty on Monday to dangerous driving and was fined $4,500. Police say she used her phone behind the wheel 44 times before running down the cyclist. She called emergency responders but parked more than 300 feet away from the victim and refused to offer him help.

Davis couldn't contain her sadness after the loss of her license, and she made her woes known on Facebook

The photo above appears to show that Davis expects to get her license back in May. She won't -- a judge on Monday suspended her license for another nine months.

The wife of the injured cyclist -- who got spinal surgery and was told he could have been a paraplegic -- said she was deeply disappointed that Davis' license wasn't suspended for longer.

Texting is gonna kill off cycling - at least outside of parks and such. It doesn't matter how stiff the penalty is, dumbasses will still do it.

The cyclist was probably breaking every traffic law anyway. They are just as bad as texters.

yeah, I never understood why people would ride their bikes on the road with cars racing past them at 3 feet away.

A 21 year old isn't a kid. She's a really stupid and self centered adult.

I rode several hundred miles a week for years and never had a problem. Of course back then the drivers were looking at the road, not a phone.

Did this happen in Australia? They have way different traffic laws there, pedestrians don't have the right of way for example. If you're crossing the street and you get hit by a car, they can sue you for the damage your body does to the driver's car.

Two thoughts...

First, this dumb bitch isn't a kid. She's an adult, an unbelievably self-centered, bratty, insensitive adult who deserves whatever misfortune befalls her after this.

Second, that being said I loathe cyclists in the road. Not saying this guy was breaking any rules or acting like a normal cycling douche, but bikers in general think they can just take over any lane they want to and block the flow of traffic.

If you wanna bike at 40 MPH, feel free to use my lane. If not, get the frick out of my way and use the goddamn sidewalk.

Only if you were j-walking. Pedestrians have the right of way at crosswalks. Which, in all honesty, I agree with. If you j-walk it's your duty to pay attention. If you get hit then frick you.

Not true in my experience, but I'm admittedly biased. There are definitely some bad apples and those are the ones you notice.

I live in a small town now and there is a guy that runs about the time I am driving to work. He runs with his headphones on and against traffic so he can see but he runs right in the middle of the lane. I have had to stop several times because he won't get out of my fricking way and a car is coming the other direction.

Cyclists just need to choose their routes better. I had a friend of mine that would ride down to Tallahassee from Dothan once a week which is about 100 miles +/- 10 miles and it is all major roads. No fricking way I would ride 200 miles on heavily traveled 70mph roads.

As for this dumb a-hole bitch, she should see jail time plain and simple. If she showed remorse then you can garner some sympathy but she is just being an a-hole about a bad situation.

What an arse hole; that judge should have just taken away her licence for the rest of her life.

ETA: Or could have just put her in jail for quite a few years
