...because, according to them, we are a first class program and treat players with respect. Not only that, these Georgia kids are trashing Georgia's approach to recruiting in the process.
Case in point: Daniel Imatorbhebhe
Here are Daniel Imatorbhebhe's comments about his decision to be a Mizzou Tiger:
"Rant experts" led us to believe that Pinkel wouldn't be able to recruit the state of Georgia. Looks like he's doing with Georgia what he did with Texas in the Big 12 - creating a pipeline to Missouri.
So far, we have Imatorbhebhe, Nate Brown, Tavon Ross, Eddie Printz, and some other prizes expected to choose Mizzou.
Here's the article, which was written by Atlanta, GA sports writer Michael Carvell:
North Gwinnett TE commits to Mizzou
Case in point: Daniel Imatorbhebhe
Here are Daniel Imatorbhebhe's comments about his decision to be a Mizzou Tiger:
quote:
“I picked Missouri because of the people and the family atmosphere,” Imatorbhebhe told the AJC. “They value not just the player, but the person. They are a first-class program.
“It just felt like home, and I knew it would be hard to find better people than at Missouri. There was really no use in waiting. I wanted to be all-in for them because they were all-in for me. So that made me do it.”
quote:
“It’s like Georgia really doesn’t like kids from the state of Georgia that aren’t 5-stars. Or they will come in and offer at the last second. I’ve been to Georgia like five times, so I wanted to go to a place that valued me, and place where’s there real people, not people that just play with your feelings and play games with you.”

Georgia wants five stars not this kid. Missouri can only get three stars. This kid is a three star. Perfect fit.

I'm in a mtng and can't respond to this drivel, but his points are fricking stupid. He's just pouty that the home school didnt show him enough interest. Waaahhh

Sorry for partying, bro.

Unranked Tight End. Want an offer? Come to one of the camps and compete. Visiting a bunch won't get you shite, especially when we've got guys like ROme, Davis, and Blazevich on campus and we're looking at guys like Isaac Nauta for next year.

So you got a three star tightend and now you think your recruiting is worth a shite?

Bingo. If he wants an offer, hit the weight room and show up to camp to show UGA that he's better than the current targets. We can only sign about 25 guys.
Also, linking a Carvell article should be a ban-able offense.

The rant is pretty much ALWAYS wrong. Newcomers please stop bragging about exceeding the rant's expectations.

You dummies still don't understand what Mizzou does with 3 and 4 star recruits. We coach this kids into 5 star players who march into Georgia and beat your arse between the hedges.
Be careful about making light of this. The real point of this story isn't the star rating of the kid...it's the fact that Mizzou is becoming a presence in Georgia and solid Georgia high school recruits are taking notice.
These recruits talk and word is getting out that Mizzou is the place to go.

That's all fine and dandy, but it doesn't change the fact that UGA will only recruit the players it wants based on the staff's evaluations. What the other 150 or so instate players do is out of our control.
