and a BIG project

quote:

Maten, a 6-foot-8 power forward, is a senior at Bloomfield Hills High School in suburban Detroit. He averaged 19.8 points, 15.2 rebounds, 6.6 blocks and 4.8 assists, and shot 66 percent from the field, for a team that went 24-4 and reached the Michigan Class A state championship game. He was named the Gatorade Player of the year in Michigan. Maten had offers from Michigan State and Indiana.

Iduwe, a 6-11 center, moved to the U.S. from Nigeria three years ago, first graduating from high school in Birmingham, Ala., and is spending this year at a military academy in Delafield, Wis. This past season he averaged 8.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.

Iduwe is regarded as more of a long-term project, but Fox likes his athleticism.

Second dude seems like a waste but I guess we needed big bodies. Hopefully he doesn't turn out like another rashaad singleton.

I'm excited abt the first one though.

We need to sign her a recruiting coordinator. I know I would play for her; she's drop-dead gorgeous.

Hmmm..the top 2 BBall recruits for the state of GA have just apparently opened their recruiting back up as both of their coaches hopped the train out of town. Coincidentally we just processed a kid so we have 1 more open spot...hmmmmmmm. Looks like we might go after one of these kids as we have never stopped recruiting them hard.

That's one of them. His coach left and then the other kid was committed to Mizzou and Haith has apparently left for Tulsa so his HS coach said he will most likely decommit. They were the top 2 players in Georgia. Let's hope Fox can close the deal with one and this will be a winning recruiting class IMO.
