For those that use that type of thing....

Say....a cleaners had key cards made to access the entry door...you could pick up or drop off whenever you liked...24 hour turn around...when clothes were done, you received a text telling you what locker and the combination to the lock on said locker...in order to use such a location, you must use credit/debit card and payment must be made prior to picking up..

Normal, regular customers have the option to reserve their own locker and supply their own lock...

Thoughts?

I would like to have an app for a dry cleaning service. Request my shite to get picked up via app then a text be sent to me notifying it is done and I have the option to pay a delivery fee $2-$5 or pick it up for free. Initial Pick up fees around the same as well, all about conveneince.

Is it discreet?

Can anonymity be had?

Can blood stains be removed?

It would be nice to not have to burn the clothes all the time.

Sounds like a decent enough idea to me. Dry cleaning really doesn't seem to have embraced technology. I don't think the experience dealing with cleaners has ever changed in the 20ish years I've used them.

App + your idea + delivery options would be great if you were in an area with lots of busy professionals (NYC for instance).

I probably wouldn't use it just because it is a 24 hour facility. If the cleaners stays open until 6 or 7 PM that works best for me.

Now a 24 hour storage facility or fitness club is different as I have used those pretty much around the clock.

I don't know about 24 hour but one that stayed open until 9 or 10 would be extremely beneficial to me as opposed to the current hours of most in my area.

Drive-thru and delivery should work for most people.

In DFW, there were way better dry cleaners than here. Dry Clean Superstore was legit. $1 shirts. A good drivethru location is gold for a good dry cleaner. We have several little old dry cleaners here in Fayetteville, and all of them kinda suck if you ask me. Someone could put in one with a drive-thru that is wide open, visible and do a volume business and even charge $1.50 for shirts all week would put a few of them out of business.

Has Tide Dry Cleaners made it to Arkansas? If so, kick arse, dropping off dry cleaning no matter how early or late using an atm like system is kick arse.

ETA: yup... 2 locations in Little Rock.
