Tennessee:

W Auburn
W Duke
W Chattanooga
W Alabama
W Maryland
W North Carolina
W #2 Georgia Tech (AT Georgia Tech)
W #19 Ole Miss
W Kentucky
W Vanderbilt
L #13 Baylor (Sugar Bowl)

Finished 10-0 (10-1 after the bowl game), #2 in both major polls.

Oklahoma:

W North Carolina
W Kansas State
W Texas
W Kansas
W Notre Dame
W #18 Colorado
W Iowa State
W Missouri
W Nebraska
W Oklahoma State
(No bowl game)

Finished 10-0, and #1 in both major polls.

Strangely, UT was ranked as high as #1 going into the Ole Miss game, but dropped to #2 even though they won.

Consider the SEC streak that occurred from 1956-1962

1956 Tennesseee
1957 Auburn
1958 LSU
1959 Ole Miss
1960 Ole Miss
1961 Alabama
1962 Ole Miss

We don't claim 1956.

Yet, you claim 1967. In my opinion, 1956 is WAY more legitimate than 1967.

The 1956-1962 streak corresponds perfectly to the 2006-2012 streak.

Hell, there was even a rematch game for the national championship (1960 Sugar Bowl: LSU vs. Ole Miss) that ended 21-0!

Um,neither Ole Miss nor LSU even won the SEC that year, let alone National Title.
