Just planted cherry bushes and grapes a few days ago.

Rain ends late tonight, tomorrow will be windy and much colder, and a freeze is likely by daybreak Wednesday LINK #alwx

Wednesday morning’s record low at Birmingham (April 16) is 32 set in 1983. We just might break it… #alwx

Wow. Almost 90 here today. Supposed to cool off to mid 80s with lows in the 70s later on the week though..

It snowed here today for about an hour. I'm glad I haven't gotten around to planting flower beds yet. My perennials are still tucked in for winter. I guess procrastination isn't always a bad thing.

This is why the rule of thumb up here is to never plant anything before Derby (first Saturday in May).

That's probably good advice. It seems like I'm usually planting during my birthday, the first week in April, so it makes me feel like I'm running behind this year.

I do the garden on Good Friday. Just starting my orchard up and figured I'd be ok. I think I can cover them and keep the frost off and they'll be ok. Just tired of cold weather.
