UGA Graduation Questions

graduating in may. few quick, simple questions. graduation is on friday, may 9th.
im graduating from terry and the college of education. family will be in town friday and saturday. terry graduation is at 2:30 @ stegeman and the big uga graduation is that night at sanford. don't know when the COE one is, any reason to go to that one?
my mom and grandma wanna see me walk, of course. does this happen at the terry ceremony? i have more friends in terry so this would be the preferred method of fulfilling my mom's wishes.
i have to register for the one with terry, but not for the one at sanford with everyone? does that sound accurate and in line with past years?
feel like everyone will go to the one at sanford, so it seems like we could make it fun. sound right?
looking for just personal stories or opinions as well as things you may know as fact that cannot be found online. thanks yall

I didn't have a terry graduation. I just stood up and sat down with about 3000 people in terry in Sanford Stadium. No walking involved.

I can't help. I didn't walk or do my college one, just the big main one in Sanford. It was during the day though, can't remember if I had to register.

I think you need to register to get the 6 or so family passes for the stadium.

I graduated last year and I didn't need reservations for family or friends to enter Sanford. I only needed tickets for my school graduation.
Also, no walking is involved at the Sanford ceremony. You just spend an hour and a half or so sitting in the stands with your respective classmates and then theyll start having the students come onto the field to sit down in their section.

I needed passes for both my college graduations. One was really cool and cinematic and the other was awkward and I could have done about. Sanford is pretty unorganized for those graduating at least. I just walked in. Decide which section you want to sit in before hand.

My family didn't even see me during graduation. I was on the other side of the stadium. I wasn't Terry but I think it was a lot more personal and they actually called your name one by one. My college was an extremely casual ceremony.
And people on the field were definitely drinking and throwing beach balls around and such. Not everyone but people weren't completely serious.

You need tickets if you graduate in December for Stegman. Sanford has plenty of seats.

Sounds like the Terry one will have a walk, since you have to register. The Sanford one is just a stand-up-by-college thing.

I was Terry about 15 years ago. No walking. Just stood with Real Estate/Risk Management majors. back then, we didn't need to register (i was a December graduation, though).

I did Dec in the Steg and we just stood for all of our majors
