my top 5 would be

1. Insidious

2. A Nightmare On Elm Street

3. Texas Chainsaw Massacre

4. Jaws

5. Eyes of laura mars
(for some reason people don't consider this a horror film but it airs during October around Halloween in the same time frame of Amc Fear Fest, Syfy 31 days of Halloween & other horror thon's so I'd say it counts as a horror film)

If Insidious is the scariest movie you've ever seen, you scare way too easy.

Insidious sucked. Doesn't even make the top 50 scariest horror films list.

i really really hate the genre of horror and don't make it through most PG-13 horror movies.

I usually don't even start them.

Most freaked out i've ever been in a movie was Clockwork Orange.

A list from my youth:

1. Alien.
2. The Shining.
3. Jaws.

Only four for me.

Started out pretty damn good. The ending is what killed it.

anything that has jump scenes in it scares me most horror films I watch are slasher flicks so they don't scare me as much as they should but when its something like insidious, sinister, the conjuring, etc that has a ghost or demon popping out of nowhere every minute that's what scares me I can't stand it when they pop up out of nowhere when everything's quiet

oh yeah I forgot this one Willard I remember seeing the previews and thinking it was just some dumb reality film . but once I watched it for the first time and saw these rats tearing people to pieces I'd always shite my pants everytime I saw a rat in the house, yard or anywhere

I really liked Insidious. The first half of the movie was extraordinary. The premise of it scared the shite out of me. The actual movie itself had its moments.

There aren't any movies that scared me a whole lot, but I did watch the Exorcist at a very young age by myself at night... so I guess that one scared me the most.

Plot from wiki

the one-eyed Raša, who he kills by sticking his erect penis into his empty eye socket. A dying Vukmir praises Miloš' actions as truly worthy of film.

One of the most fricked up movies ever made. I'm not sure it qualifies as horror. But it definitely blurs the lines between what should be legal and illegal to film.

I got tricked into watching it. It was spliced midway into a copy of the departed.
