You are correct. Miles fits the atmosphere and overall environment better than Saban. LSU was just at a point where they would give anything to field a badass football team. And they got what they paid for.

Exactly. Like I've said. Saban is a better coach, but Miles is the best coach LSU has ever had.
Eta: Aw hell. I may of started a shitshow.

I know exactly what you are saying, but some idiots will interpret this the wrong way.

Saban is an excellent recruiter with a support system like no other at Alabama. Yet he always loses at least one big game a year because of his coaching decisions

You mean like attempting a 57 yard FG with an inexperienced kicker instead of going into overtime?

I mean

if a coach averages 10-12 wins a seasons and always has you in the national title conversation the rest is just bs

that's what everyone is looking for

Meh, it shouldn't have come down to this. The offense not putting the game away, with the ball, in the redzone, up 7 late in the 4th TWICE, is what lost the game.

And I just remembered 2015 is year 4. Has the Playoff Final been decided yet? Or is NOLA still open?

Could be said about every coach. Do you think Gus made all the right decisions in the BCSNCG? I don't.

What that certain P&G segment should realize is the Les is slowly becoming a national icon, in a positive way. South Louisiana is unique, so you would think this would be embraced. I do anyhow, so it's all good with me.

It may have something to do with recruiting.

That's where Nick makes his money.

If the postseason game isn't for a title, maybe he kind of let's the seniors and the staff deal with the exhibition game?

I'm sure it's not that simple, but as a Bama fan, I'll take it. A #1 class (almost every year) makes you forget about those Sugar Bowl letdowns..

man I get that

but when I was in school we had six year losing streaks to LSU and Auburn and we lost to Louisiana-Monroe

whole classes that never saw Alabama beat either of those teams

some of my fellow Bammers have lost perspective I think - the current state of affairs is the ideal college program

Auburn was clutch. The defense stood up to the challenge in the 4th and Nick Marshall made a great play late.

Les fits in better because he is comfortable in his own skin. The "environment" at Bama fits Saban better because he is surrounded by sycophants who have the "win at all costs" mentality he desires.

The same thing a desperate Bama AD got when he pried Saban away from the Dolphins.

Yea, and that plays into what 434 said. Miles' personality, and South LA, go hand in hand.
I fear the day the Miles haters get there wish.
