Given that he has only managed one series win over LSU in his last 10 attempts, it would seem that his seat has to be awfully hot. Especially when one considers the number of mediocre LSU squads over the last decade, including some coached by the summarily dismissed Smoke Laval and the scientific research which shows that nearly 70% of Arkansas fans consider LSU their top rival, compared with only 2% of LSU fans who feel the same about the pigs.

One out of 10, given the nature of baseball and the hard feelings felt by the woo pig nation? Surely walmarks money can buy better results.

What sayeth the rant?

I don't think they should. Arkansas has been the most overachieving team in the nation since he got there; their natural level in baseball is more along the lines of Missouri or Penn State.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure doing well in Omaha isn't an expectation there. With a program apex of second place over three decades ago, expecting more from Van Horn seems unfair.

wut

ETA: With the big win yesterday that improved DVH's record against LSU to 2-7 over the last three years, I imagine the heat let up a little.
