It was his first full speed action in Neyland with a sizable crowd there. He played very very well for a true freshman given the circumstances. i'll take it.

he going to be going against the UT defense every week

You mean the one in 2013 that held you under your avg yds a game and points per game and ended up with the win?

This is a demonstrably false statement... I averaged 0 yards per game and nil points per game last year and that is exactly what I got when UT beat USC...

But... when you consider that the 181 yards he put up was almost 20 more than UT averaged per game last year as a whole... You might begin to question whether it was his being excellent (possible) or your secondary being shite (probable).

Malone is a superstar in the making. He should technically be at the prom right now. Instead this EE is more polished than any freshman WR I've ever seen. I'm not kidding when I say he looks and plays like an NFL receiver even though he should still be in HS. And in case anyone's forgotten, we had Hunter and Da'Rick and saw North as a freshman last year - Malone is far ahead of where they were as freshman and the only thing that held North back last year was he'd never played WR and he still beasted out with a bad QB and no other WR around to help out.

Im sure our 4 injured QBs and lack of depth at WR had more to do with that low avg.

Mizzou will be able to easily absorb the loss of DGB by counting on the other receivers within the program. People easily forget that Mizzou runs a system designed to take advantage of mismatches by using incredible size, breakaway speed and superior athleticism. These traits are what make Pinkel successful in recruiting because he is able to find players who posses these traits, and make them fit within his system. Everyone should recognize that the cupboard isn't bare at Mizzou, but in fact probably the deepest group of WR's ever at Mizzou : (Listed in order for who has the best chance to start this season)
