Is it really like that. I know during football season in VA, it is straight UVA/VT. Has the occasional UNC or Duke fan. Come basketball season it is the same UVA fan and then mostly UNC and Duke fans.

Yeah. They're all kU fans in basketball and then pick from the menu of Nebraska, Kstate or Kansas for football.

Disagree, there is a disconnect between St. Louis and the Rams, but still have to put them above the Chiefs.

I also only had the east side version of the state growing up. Didn't ever head out towards Kansas City, well because I am not a fan of drive bys.

I think you could've split hunting up into Turkey/Deer/Quail/Pheasant/Dove. Other than that, solid list.

Pro sports are at the top. Just like they are in the state I live in. You don't get that in some of the SEC states.

Wrong in the eyes of someone who is apparently an Arkansas/Kansas fan.

I would accept nothing less.

But now you see Mizzou gear all over my hometown where you wouldn't have seen a fraction of that 15, 20 yrs ago. But it'll never come close to states like Alabama because of the Rams/Chiefs/Blues/Cardinals/Royals/SportingKC.

This is a lame excuse. In Florida we have:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Miami Dolphins
Miami Heat
Orlando Magic
Jacksonville Jaguars
Tampa Bay Rays

et cetra

And that doesn't diminish the passion for college sports.

Several of those teams are among the absolute worst in attendance.

Not even close to being the same thing

Florida has over 4x the number of residents per square mile, only two additional teams to support over us though.

I was born and raised in KC, spent summers in Gallatin, went to school in Columbia, lived in Jeff City and now St. Louis, with family in Springfield.

Very diverse state. You'll get bias answers depending on what part of the state you're in.

KC is a Chiefs town. People will ask complete strangers at a grocery store what the score is. It's also a kU Basketball town. kU fans do not support their football team. Chiefs rule. Royals are well supported but a distant 2nd to the Chiefs.

KSU are passionate fans, but is the #3 in numbers in KC. Nebraska has also been well supported, but (IMO) that is withering because of B1G move. Papers/local TV never talk about them because they are not in a metro conference anymore.

St. Louis is a Cardinal town. Strangers will ask whats the score of the game. Blues and Mizzou sports are next. Yes, I purposely put this above the Rams because they are seeing their lowest numbers of support. Missouri football has been the best product over the past 8yrs.

Springfield has been a big fan of the Razorbacks. Fayetteville is closer. I think the SEC move will make this and the rest of the southern side of the state much more interested in CFB.

Why wouldn't they be watching the game?

Y'all need to get it together up there in the midwest.

So, a bunch of shitty teams, a bandwagon team that is the doll of douchebags, and a team that will never be able to compete consistently with the rest of the AL East. You're right, that's soo much better.

Florida pro sports teams don't even sell out their stadiums when they have the best teams in their respective sport. But I fully understand that since there are things to do in that state, in some cities, compared to other states that have pro teams.

Hell no we do not. I do but as a state and speaking for our alumni and fans. The answer is an easy no. We are the biggest bunch of bandwagon fans you will ever meet. We barely filled the stadium halfway a couple of years ago because of "deer season". But When we are 5-0.....full house. Same goes for basketball.....

But the same fans will demand excellence, the one that show up 25% or less of the time
