Thanks for your knowledgable responses.

You, individually, are a great poster and an even better addition to our vaunted conference.

I am not so sure you know what the word "insight" means, buckaroo.

Please don't get upset because I corrected you. I've always respected the Midwestern working class

That show they made about you poors, I think it was called Roseanne or something like that, was mighty funny!

KState fans are passionate but not numerous. ku fans are numerous (because of basketball) but could not care less about football. No way 40% of Kansans watch those two teams play each week.

Missouri folks are a lot MORE passionate than they were in the 80's when I was a kid, but a lot of that is because the games are on TV. When I was a kid I didn't know anybody other than one neighbor who went to Mizzou that was a big Tiger fan. I wore a ku sweatshirt that my Mom got on clearance somewhere to their house one day and I learned real quick that wasn't going to fly

But now you see Mizzou gear all over my hometown where you wouldn't have seen a fraction of that 15, 20 yrs ago. But it'll never come close to states like Alabama because of the Rams/Chiefs/Blues/Cardinals/Royals/SportingKC.

My aunt couldn't even find a Mizzou hat for my uncles birthday in the early 90's. It was all KU.

ee? You wasted the payoff on page 1.

Now you're stuck resorting to looking like a moron and pretending to confuse the person that was governor of kansas five years ago and has been extremely public in the Obama administration with the governor of Missouri.

It's just poor execution.

Yep, tons of rookie mistakes. You can tell he is getting aggravated. He is sinking deeper into trying to save this shite troll job while the rest of us just laugh.

I also believe if the St. Louis Rams move, St. Louis will become a huge SEC style fan base for Mizzou football.

Is there talk about the Rams moving? Where? To L.A.?

It almost reminds me of hockey fans. Not everyone follows Mizzou, but those that do are pretty big fans.

I have lived in Missouri for some time now, and it's pretty obvious that the Kansans here along the Missouri River boundary are the most passionate about sports. This is probably due to the fact that KS has no major city of its own and very little else to do for entertainment.

Also, quite a few Nebraskans and they are always diehard Huskers fans. Mizzou people tend to be more interested in basketball than anything else, but even that gets overshadowed by the KU presence in this region of the state.

Most Mizzou fans you meet seem more interested in their rivals and even their old rivals of the surrounding Big 12 programs than they are of their own program, but that's just my personal experience in the KC area.

Lol.

40% may watch whatever front running program they're pretending to root for that year.

Is it really like that. I know during football season in VA, it is straight UVA/VT. Has the occasional UNC or Duke fan. Come basketball season it is the same UVA fan and then mostly UNC and Duke fans.
Eta: I will also say. When I was in VA in January, that was the first time I heard VA Tech mentioned in a sport other than football. Only lived in Richmond 12 years though, and listened to sports radio the last 8 or so. 96-09 minus a year.

Exactly, but it's more like when the Rams leave and go back to California somewhere, St. Louis will follow Mizzou until some other NFL team starts extorting their current city for 100's of millions of taxpayer dollars. That's when Slay will bend over and let some corporate exec talk him into diverting tons of money into building another ugly arse dome for another sorry team to relocate here.
