I like to crap on Arky as much as the next Auburn fan, but watching this game it's crazy how much the Razorbacks beat themselves more than we beat them. There's a common theme in this game.

- Multiple long balls that came down to a few inches
- Repeated gashes up the middle by a true freshman running back behind an offensive line with two true freshmen including a 6'10" LT
- A true freshman tight end that pretty much laughed at our secondary

If Arky tightens the screws we're going to have a game on our hands, and we definitely won't be allowed to make as many opening day mistakes as we did against Wazzu. I still think we win comfortably and I'm not particularly worried about it, but it's worth bringing up as a trap game situation. AllI'msayin.

They will keep it close for most of the game:

AU - 45 ARK- 31

The only way we lose is if Gus tries to force balance and we throw more than we should.

Cold chilly night in Arkansas where our team didn't have much motivation to play.. It'll be different this time around.

They'll be better but they can't stop us enough to win

Hopefully these days are over. Tired of winning shootouts.

I hope they don't score more than twice

Exactly.

Two of them (the read option give and the read option keeper) over and over and over again.

Because Gus knew we were never in any danger. And we weren't.

Ergo, close game? OK.

There was nothing wrong with our offensive performance.

I don't think you know what trap game means.

You are so full of shite my man. Malzahn played games with Arky and if you can't see that then I'm sorry.

Malzahn hardly used any of the offense.

No there wasn't, but the point is the offense could have blown this game open and Malzahn never did.

OKay. Go watch the first half again. Arky catches two of those long balls and doesn't turn the ball over stupidly and it's a different game.

We were terrible against their running and short to mid range passing.

I watched that game a couple of times poly. Yes it seemed they game planned well. However, I also know Malzahn stuck to running the ball over and over and over again. He did nothing at all to disguise the plays except run the ball down their throats.

Trust me when I say it was a game Malzahn felt in complete control of. Did Arkansas surprise AU on occasion? Yes

AU's offense was as vanilla as you can get. Arkansas had no chance of winning that game. None.

Meh, they threw everything but the kitchen sink at Auburn...they were running all kinds of trick plays. They even went for it on 4th down twice. Arkansas also had the luxury of playing at home. Really, they overachieved against us in 2013.

Auburn had a banged up Nick Marshall and ran the most vanilla offense we had seen all season.

Didn't they do all kinds of shite that they hadn't done all season and didn't do again? Seems like that was the case......

And we were gashing them on our first drive but a false start killed our momentum.

Let's not act as if we didn't make plenty of mistakes ourselves.

And one of thier long drives was continued by a Chris Davis penalty. That doesnt happen and we prob go up 21-0.

I really hope we frick Arky up so bad that Bert files a police report after. I doubt Gus would do it though.
