Your Program's Most Famous Bagman?

One interesting thing about the article is the concept that bagmen are only known if they screw up. For A&M that is true, but I wondered if maybe in some historical context some SEC bagmen have a real legacy.

To answer my own question, A&M's most famous bagman was Warren A. Gilbert Jr:

Cool! I knew about the Auburn two but never heard of him! What is it about those tobacco lawyers that they have to get involved in football? Texas has the same problem.

I'm not really sure the Dickie story...I'm only 23. I do know he pumped way too much money into our athletics, which no doubt in my mind he was also paying recruits, directly or indirectly.
