Maybe. Offense needs to take a big step forward.

Will know a bit more after Saturday.

In all honestly, I do think UF has a much better year in 14 (even with the schedule).

How many wins would satisfy you? Would you be ok with 8 or 9 with that schedule?

I'd be content with a winning season.

Let me also say: I'm glad we're not talking about being Auburn again.

Lucky until choking on a fat one until the end of the year is not something I want to replicate.

Its hard to say, and man it feels weird typing this and I think DMB said it but I will say it again. Gator fans are starved for some offense. I think if we win something like 7 or maybe 8 with an upset in there like Bama, FSU, LSU or UG and the offense is really humming along and we have the occasional game were we blow out somebody. I think Muschamp stays. If we somehow win 9 games but the offense still sucks and we get embarrassed by UG at the Cocktail party or FSU then I think he gets the axe. I feel stupid for typing all of that, but thats how I see it.

Fasten your seatbelts oh yee of little faith. You are about to see why Jeremy stuck by Boom. Anything less than 10 Ws will be a disappointment to me in all seriousness.

The offense will be much improved and so will our WRs. Driskel has the experience now to take UF to a higher level. He is going to make a lot of you eat those keyboard strokes. Coupled with our stout defense....look out.

Schedule? What tough schedule? I only see opportunity. Bama? Big bad Bama...skeered? Say skeered....we will send Updyke or whatever his name is into a frenzy. Bama might be the third best team in the west. LSU? very beatable in the Swamp. Mizzou? In our house. USC? Ditto.

Yes...UF can be the surprise team in the SEC...but its not a surprise to many...they see our roster and changes on offense and know our defense will be stout. I want us to be ignored in the preseason so we can sneak up on folks. After Bama game it will be harder.

You thought UF was going to go 11-1 last year...

Foley took a chance on Boom. No one can say for sure if it will work out.

Looking at past history, I would say the odds are not in our favor.

We'll see. One last toss of the dice.

Win 9 games, and Muschamp is staying regardless of how lucky the wins look.

Our schedule is brutal.

Ok...I did expect a pretty darn good season based on our defense and the potential of a great run game on offense.

But lets dissect something worth noting...UF had TWENTY ONE players miss a total combined 126 games and again...15 starters lost for the season with ten being starters. Hqard to be 11-1 when your two backup qbs have average at best arms and NO ONE wins in the SEC with inexperienced third string qbs.

I will await your verdict in the fall as to how well we performed...of course...if we do go 11-1 it will all be the result of Roper and not Boom. Folks love passing..I love winning. Driskel will be an ALL SEC candidate by years end.

Every year since Tebow left other than 2012, the struggle that UF has had of winning games has been mostly due to the lack of a successful passing game.

You are talking about THREE total years of less than desired results...with the first year being a result of our HC "feeling burnout" and letting inmates run the system, year two (and Booms first year) saw Brantley in mismatched offense, then getting hurt and two true frosh thrown to the wolves out of necessity...we were not a very good team and had scatbacks as RBs...not Booms fault he inherited a roster with woes..2012 saw defense strangle folks and QB Driskel was still a very young QB. 2013 we saw the ceiling cave in. Remember that Driskel in 2013 threw for 297 yds passing against the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gable, five turnovers doomed us...but not all JDs fault either.
Now we have new OC who I think will get us over the hump and please the fans...but we must run the ball and finish in the SEC top three to have greater chance at SECCG. We don't need a 4,000 yd passer or want one...that would probably mean we aren't running well...and I don't think there is any fear of that. I do think the new system on offense will allow us to keep defenses guessing and on their heels.
I have bottle thick orange and blue eyeglasses, but I know we will enjoy 2014.

Less wins if UF beats UGA. 9 wins if UF loses to UGA.

If the issues last year was purely because of injuries, I see no reason the bar shouldn't be set at 10 wins and an SEC east "title". Doesn't mean Boom HAS to do that, but that should be our expectations as I think that is the typical expectations most year. The only hiccup is that we are switching offensive systems, but it seems to be a system that better suits our personnel anyway. We still have way more talent than most of the teams we play this year, so no reason we can't win 10 games.

I will be disappointed in 9 wins honestly unless there are reasons beyond coaches control. 10 wins or better is what I expect. 8 wins (w/o the reasons that coaches cant control) and I will hold the door open for Mr Muschamp to leave.

I think people are looking at WM's job stability the wrong way. There IS NOT a certain number of wins he must attain. Of course, another year without a bowl game will no doubt get him fired, but in terms of a 7-12 win year, there isn't an exact number, promise. What will keep WM around is the "perception" of the program and where Foley believes it is headed after this upcoming season. If UF wins 7, but has a top 30 offense, and is entertaining he could stay. If UF wins 9, but is boring to watch and looks like crap on O, he could get his walking papers. More perception based than w/l.

It's hard for me to imagine the perception of the program being worse than it is right now.
