As a Comcast Xfinity customer I'm starting to wonder if they are going to make a move anytime soon along with other cable companies. The SEC Network is slated to launch in less than 3 months and the only ones that I know who have signed on are Dish Network and U-Verse which isn't available in many places.

Here in Mississippi I know most of the bigger cities use Comcast (Jackson metro area, Tupelo, Meridian, Laurel, and Hattiesburg) The Coast Uses Cable one. I know there will be a TON of upset people here if they decide not to carry the SEC network.

What do you guys see happening in the near future????

I bet nothing really happens until the last month when the pressure on all sides builds.

They are all posturing at this point.....to much $$$$$ not to carry it. When it is all said in done, every major cable and satellite provider will carry the SEC Network. They know if they don't, they will lose a helluva lot of subscribers. It will probably be June/July before a deal is cut since the Network starts in August.

My cable provider (who is actually through my community's power company sent out information informing us that we would have SEC Network added to our package.

These things usually happen week before and first week of season. Put it out of your mind and watch baseball to get you though the next few months. Go fishing in July and August.

Verizon FiOS needs to hurry up. UVerse isn't available in my area, and I refuse to go back to Time Warner with their garbage service (tells me they can come out to fix a problem, never shows up yet tells me they called to tell me they were coming, which of course is a LIE)

I want to know when Dish gets the carriage rights for ESPN3. Was part of the announcement of the SECn, but Dish wasn't an option yet when I looked.

I see Directv missing an opportunity they will regret.

Wouldn't shock me. They love to play hardball. I think they underestimate the average SEC fan. More will leave than they expect if they don't carry the SEC network. I know I dropped them because they wouldn't get CST.

Not too many options here. It's either Comcast, DirecTV, or Dish.

Unfortunately, the deals with Comcast are FAR better here than Dish or DirecTV/CenturyLink.

Hope this is true

Heck I have Comcast's sports package and I have the Big10 and Pac12 networks
