I normally park in ECPD or Intramural in Fall, but Im assuming parking is better on Saturday. What time should I be there to get a decent seat? Any other thing I should plan on checking out?

Thanks

1 hour early will get you a decent seat. Its gonna be hot...you will burn very easy. Always happens. watch both sides of the ball...we have players playing O and D at the same time ;)

Getting a decent seat really isn't too big of a hassle. Bring sunscreen. Watch the beginning intently. It gets a little boring after a while once they start getting the walk ons and such in the game

Skip the game and go downtown and start drinking...rather watch paint dry

That's just me though

Endzone or Sideline seat?

I prefer endzone so i can see plays develop, but that's just me. Some people prefer the sidelines.

I've sat in the endzone under the videoboard for the past few years and getting a seat is really easy

Also, a lot of times UGA will pair G Day with some other athletic event going on like a baseball game. If so, definitely hit the baseball game as well.

Usually the G Day game is a bit of a letdown as they throw in the bench relatively early and it can get boring.

P.S. Just checked and UGA plays the Vols in baseball right after the G Day game. Usually a fun and large crowd that day, so I'd check it out - but stay hydrated.

Remember none of it counts or really means shite in the big picture...."ENJOY" Athens, the weather, the less hectic atmosphere, maybe go a little higher than you have to so you can stretch out & breath it all in... Most of all don't fret the small shite. There's an alumni flag football game before the G-Day game, maybe get there early, people watch, maybe get down on field level behind the hedges & maybe get a pic or autograph with one of your old favs...

If your taking younger children to expose them to Athens, make it about them...

ETA: I see your taking in the BB game so I guess no young ones...

I go every year and take my 16 year old daughter. She has been coming to Athens since she has been born. Best advice has already been given, relax take in the great atmosphere, talk to fellow fans, yell GO DAWGS as often as you can, ring the bell, go downtown, walk campus, and have fun.

seating will ne easy..hour ahead will work..remember you will see a bunch of players that you will NEVER see in the fall...I would think the QB play should be fun to watch...

I walked in some time in the first quarter last year, no problem finding some good seats. You don't need to get there early for the sake of seating.

It's never a problem. Was late last year and I still got great seats. It's GDay, just keep walking around until you see a clearing
