47 years as the PA announcer at Neyland Stadium. RIP Bobby. I hate seeing the voices of my youth disappear one by one. He was definitely one of the last ties to the Old SEC.

Just as big of a part of Tennessee Football as John Ward, Peyton, Phil, and Neyland.

Thoughts go out to his loved ones.

My grandmother works at UT and was very close to Bobby. He drank a lot early in his life, and that's what led to the liver cancer. Sad day, he will be missed

Not meaning to derail this thread but Stutterin' Blob Kesling isn't in the same universe as the great John Ward.

Mike Keith. He should've been heir apparent to Ward and voice of the VOLS.

Longest running college football stadium announcer in the country. Even after he retired to Florida he came back to Tennessee every fall to call the games. Fans from all over, not just Tennessee fans, got a kick out of Bobby Denton. He added so much to not only Tennessee's game day experience but also for fans of opposing teams visiting Neyland.

Thanks for adding to the good times and all the memories Bobby Denton.

PLEASE PAY THESE PRICES AND PLEASE PAY NO MORE.

This just reinforces the SEC's greatness.Simpson Pepper at Alabama,Ernie Keller at Vanderbilt, Sid Crocker at LSU and now Bobby Denton. The SEC had some truly fantastic PA announcers.
