no i already stated they wouldnt let me book that far out because the schedule hadnt been announced. they didnt know what the rate for that weekend would be.
granted i only called one hotel but once she told me that i looked at the schedule and sure enough it listed both sites. so i decided to wait. i should have stayed on top of it for sure though but kinda forgot.

Next year's basketball schedule hasn't been announced yet either, the complete schedule for last year wasn't released until a month and half before the season started.

Going forward, until they cancel them altogether, Little Rock has been relegated to getting either the Mississippi schools or an East team when they even get an SEC game. Alabama, Auburn and LSU will be in Fayetteville.

well thats exactly the though point isnt it? i understand yall knew(assumed) the game would be in fayetteville. i did too. but knowing something doesnt help when a hotel wont let you book until its been officially announced.
so again people who keep saying 2 years are flat out wrong. no matter how you want to spin it.
and btw the schedule was out in august. had opponents and dates, just not the locations.

you can keep sticking to the "they didn't announce it until blah blah blah" but you have people here that are telling you (and rightly so) that the LSU move was forever but you can keep waiting every other year to book your rooms until the only place you can find one is in Tulsa, if it makes you feel better.

so you are telling me that the hotel would not take your money until a UofA schedule was released? That is the dumbest thing i have ever heard.

there's more than one hotel here. This shouldn't be a problem. We've all known since 2 seasons ago that LR LSU games were over.

To your point, technically it was not officially -announced. However the below is unfortunately pretty true.

From what I've heard (true or not), they held off on permanently announcing it due to all the politics involved with the Little Rock v Fayetteville games. You can pretty much guarantee that these games will be in Fayetteville going forward. Only reason for you to stop in Little Rock on the way there or back is for gas or a gun with a scratched off serial number.

Yeah, its not like the hotel wouldn't let you book a room that far out in advance in NWA if you told them it was for business, because that wouldn't be plausible or anything.

What I've hear, also heard one donor was trying to "buy" the Bama game to be in LR...

well again i only called 1 but no they would not have. they werent taking reservations 15 months out for precisely that reason.

are our hotels giving LSU the TEXASS treatment? Poor corndog, he wants to go to a game, has already cashed his check and got a money order ready to send to the hotel for his room, but they give him the old "cant rent you a room until the UofA releases their schedule" line. I know we want to keep the corndog stench out of our stadium but i think this may be taking it too far.
