These two seem very similar to me. Recruit very well, awkward dancing with his players, shirtless chest bumps, silly motivational poster quotes.

All seems real nice on the surface, but really lacks substance. Teams play with a lack of discipline and respect for their friend...err, I mean Head Coach. It's all very cheesy.

All hat, no cattle. I'm beginning to see why he was UT's 6th choice when they hired him.

Thoughts?

Let's see what he does with these recruits, then I'll get back to you on that. Interesting theory though.

Agreed. I love to see the confidence build until we show them who their daddy's are in October. Hey Vols, let's have an undefeated TSIO this year k?

Butch not only was a HC previously, he was a successful HC. If UT had hired him while he was an assistant elsewhere, I'd agree with the comparison. UT is going to blow in '14 an it wont be Butch's fault, but it will interesting to see if he can recruit at such a high level after two shitty years. Last year's class was stellar but had a lot of jucos that will get them to the music city bowl next year and that will be about it. Needs to recruit a very good OL class this year or he will be in trouble.

Already has a pretty good start on OL in the '15 class. Jack Jones is a Rivals 4* that is going to be a good one. Zach Stewart is a 3* that is way undervalued (his rating will rise between now and signing day).

Butch needs at least 5 good OL in this class to build for the future.
