I am moving the HQ of my commodity export business to Oxford this summer (probably June). I am looking for a couple of interns for the 2014-15 year to handle sales inquiries from customers in Japan, China and Vietnam. So I am looking for native Japanese, Chinese and Vietnam speaking students who can come in 2-3 afternoons per week and help me out and learn about the international commodity trade business.

Sorry this is totally OT, but anybody know where I can go to find qualified students who would be interested? I posted the internship with the OM Development Office 6 months ago and never got a single response.

There are a metric frick ton of asians in Oxford. We had one working for us at my old job and she was amazing. Go by the Croft Institute and put a flyer up and you will have multiple calls that day.

Thanks for all your input. Sounds like a flyer at the Croft Institute is the way to go. I will give that a shot.

I am fired up about moving to Oxford. Since I didnt go to Ole Miss (my wife did), I have never really spent any meaningful time there. The nature of my business is such that I can run it from anywhere. We have small children. So we sat down to figure out where would be our ideal place to live, work, play, and raise a family. Decided on Oxford.

Anyone who knows how feel free to anchor or whack this thread so it doesn't clutter up the important insulting and deprecation of the BearRant.

Peace. No Colors.

Flyer in the lobby of Guess Hall, if that hasn't already been suggested.

Croft will be able to help you out. Shouldn't be hard to find them from there, especially if you're offering good money. It was always easy to find tutors from them for me.

If they are here on a student visa, I don't think they can work for you, so that cuts down the numbers a lot.

The number of Asian-Americans outnumber the FOBs 2-1

bullshite. Yeah, legally they can't, but it's Jaywalking as far as Asians are concerned. Hell, I worked for a company over in China and they knew it would be 10K to get me a work visa, but we did under the table stuff and it was fine. Its incredible common on both sides of the fence.
