Can't put much stock in practice. Phillip Sims was clearly outperforming McCarron during 2011 camps, but AJ ultimately proved to be the better game day qb.

Don't use that BS argument. Defense and the running game won the national championships under Saban.

Anyone who believes Blake isn't going to get a serious look is fooling themselves.

More relevent, will it matter? How has it worked out for UGA for instance?

There's just something about Spring in Tuscaloosa that makes unknown career backups turn into Joe Montana in front of the few who watch practice.
Then inexplicably, they return to mediocrity as soon we start believing the press.
Are you talking about Coker...? he's about to be the ultimate career back up... like most back ups that transfer.. he probably should have stayed and at least had 1 yr to start.. now he may never see a meaningful snap.

It says Cooper had 190 yards and 2 TDs
Not sure how much of those stats are his "command" of the team, and how much is Cooper being a really good WR
Is there issues with the secondary again? That seems like an awful lot for just one WR to get

Ok and.....?
is McElroy or AJ either..?
Both have something Peyton could NEVER get.
This may come as some surprise, but winning is a team accolade. Just take a look a AJ McCarron 2011 and Greg McElroy 2009. Neither were the driving force behind a National Championship. AJ McCarron in 2012 was much more of a driving force behind winning.

It's like Derrick Henry, Kenyan Drake, and TJ Yeldon don't exist.

You know a lot about our team. I couldn't even name your secondary.

Auburn and Alabama go after a lot of the same guys.

Yes.. I didn't bring up the comparison... but it helps in stating that Blake doesn't have to be a world beater.. but you will have to respect him in 3rd and plus situations...

Blake Sims looks like a player throwing a Halfback Pass:

If Blake Sims is still starting by the time LSU rolls around, then he has probably proved to be much better than we thought.

He's gotten a serious look every year... There's just some qbs that aren't in game Qbs... Keihl Frazier was one of them... He had all the qualities, but shite the bed when he got into the game...
