No it's not. In baseball (like golf), there are things that you just don't do, and embarrassing the other team is one of them. From some of the posts on this thread, I can tell that there are some "non-baseball" players participating. Bottomline...it ain't cool, and if you do it, you'd better be ducking when you walk up there.

350,000 views within 24 hours of the ESPN clip. Not bad for baseball.

Even Anderson said he wasn't trying to hit the HR, he was just trying to get the deep fly to bring the runner on third home and end the game. The ball going over the fence was just gravy.

I've always said to myself that batters being intentionally walked should swing at the 3-0 count JUST to make the pitchers throw a 5th pitch.

What's worse, this or losing a game on a walk off wild pitch on an intentional walk?

Crisp, I agree that you dont show up the other team BUT in this case an exception can be made. I actually dont think Anderson was intentionally trying to show up the pitcher. The guy tosses a BP pitch over the plate.

It wasn't THAT big of a pimp job... He didn't hop or anything... The way he tossed the bat down and watched it had a lot to do with the fact that he was about to be intentionally walked for his 3rd consecutive AB.

You don't understand how it works then. The guy hits a walk of bomb in extras off of what was suppose to be an out pitch. If you're mad enough to throw at him the next day, you look like a big bitch.

That. Was. Awesome.

Reminds me of the good ole days when we saw more home runs.

Props to him. The way he hesitated and pointed to the stands was

Congrats on the win, Ole Miss.

This! You don't throw at someone's head because they hit a home run off of what was supposed to be an intentional walk. If you don't want him to hit it, your pitcher needs to learn how to intentionally walk.

coachcrisp sounds like a whiny bitch.
