Apologize for any misspelled words - typing on phone while on flight home
My current thoughts are these coaches stand out in their sports
Coach Saban - football
Coach Donovan - basketball
Coach Bertman - baseball
Could these coaches of had the same success at these schools:
Coach Saban - Vanderbilt, Kentucky or Mississippi State
Coach Donovan - LSU, Ole Miss or South Carolina
Coach Bertman - Auburn or Missouri

Saban could win a natty at State. Billy could easily win one at LSU.
I don't know enough about MU or AU's baseball program to make a educated guess.

I should have included in my question if the poster had thoughts on other schools with these coaches

And you are homosexual but what does either have to do with my question?

LSU baseball wasn't very good before Bertman. He probably could have created a national power at any SEC school. He was that good.
A smaller school (e.g., Butler or Xavier) can do well in NCAA basketball with the right coach. Donovan could have created solid programs at any SEC school.
Football is a tougher nut to crack. Saban would have made this list of teams very good, but I don't know if he could have made them NC good.

When you add this caveat the only obvious answer is no. All could be successful at the schools you listed, but very doubtful that the "same" success could be achieved.

Saban: it depends on how you define success. If you mean NCs, no, Saban couldn't win one at Vanderbilt, Kentucky, or Miss State. Could he win 10 games every few years, yes.
Donovan: Yes, yes, yes. It's easy to turn around a basketball program. All you have to do is recruit.
Bertman: Also depends on "success". I think eventually he could win a championship at both, but it wouldn't be an every year thing.

Close, no, no.
Coach Bertman - Auburn or Missouri
Pretty close to both.

Coach Bertman could have sold a baseball program to any community that would have embraced it - the LSU program was truly nothing before Bertman arrived. Not only that, but Bertman brought baseball to the community and state and all the youth programs became the standard for excellence that raised the bar at all levels - youth, high school, and college. Every LA college saw the success and all schools have routinely been to the NCAA tourney including UNO, ULL, ULM, NW State, McNeese, Nicholls, Tulane, UNO, Southern, Grambling, and SLU.
Saban's task was a little easier at LSU because the talent has always been in LA but he was the first coach in a long time that kept those guys at home. You have to keep in mind that LSU was losing players to Miami and FSU through shady recruiting and lackluster LSU teams. Saban kept talent in state, fought off all the infighting within the program, and that singular focus and process was what LSU needed to elevate the program.

WTF is your problem? Nobody is saying Saban could come in and turn MSU into a perrenial powerhouse, but if Colorado can win a title I'm pretty sure Saban could potentially win one at MSU given time.

Saban didn't do shite at Michigan St, a program with a higher ceiling than the three listed in the OP...

Michigan St won NCs, how did he do there?
Colorado was a good program, as was BYU at one time.

Pete Carrol didn't do shite with the Jets or New England. Coaches improve and get better at their job. I know I am much better at mine than I was 15 years ago.
