They've really outdone themselves since the statue incident. I mean it was a really horrible thing and I hate it happened, but exactly how much do they think they can milk this dead horse and continue to shite on their own school?

Some of the writing on there is bad, but that's to be expected when it comes to student journalism. All of the "their tryin to ruin OM!!1 dey h8 us!!!" is pretty foolish/antiquated though. The SMC Director is a renowned woman in the industry.

Some of the writers at the DM try their hardest to publish anything they can to relate racism and the IFC solely based on the actions of three idiots. This is incorrect. You can't judge a whole group off a few people. The director of SMC might be renowned in the industry. That obviously does not reflect on the whole group she presides over.

I wrote for the reflector at state and they would do the same shite from time to time and never consult the other side. Giving 19 year old girls media distribution to thousands of people is dumb IMO. I also happened to be the only Greek male on staff and the horse shite stories that people came up with were out of this world.

I've picked up the DM a couple of times to pass the time in class, but I stopped reading it on a regular basis after the Obama sign "riot".
All the "journalists" at the DM want to do is break the next big, controversial story. Most of them are garbage.
