I know scheduling has been a huge problem for the conference the last few years outside of UK, Florida and Tennessee (and obviously Bama last year). Anyone know how your team's schedule is looking next year?

Tennessee's is looking decent as long as we continue to avoid 300+ RPI schools.

vs. Michigan State (contract was signed last year, but no date could be worked out)

vs. VCU (Annapolis, MD)

@ North Carolina State

Old Spice Classic (Kansas, Michigan State, Tennessee, Marquette, Georgia Tech, Rhode Island, Santa Clara, Rider)

SEC-Big XII Challenge (Expected to be home game vs. Iowa State or Baylor)

I don't think much has been announced yet for next year. I know we are taking part in the Battle for Atlantis with UNC, UCLA, Georgetown, Wisconsin, Butler, Oklahoma and UAB.

I really wish Memphis would suck it up. It's a shame their coach is afraid to play us.

Ditto. We used to have a pretty intense series with them when I was growing up.

We are playing UMASS and Texas Tech at home and doing one exempt in season tournament. Nothing else has been released for LSU.

Only game that is set is @Clemson. Pearl has said repeatedly that he wanted a difficult schedule so I'm sure a few more will be added.

Pearl is a master at scheduling. He'll look for beatable teams that project to have a high RPI. One of his most underrated attributes.

Rob Lewis said he thinks Cuonzo is going to lighten the schedule up overall because he didn't feel like a tough schedule was rewarded by the committee this year.

The only thing Mizzou has lined up are home games with NCState, annual game vs. Illinois in St. Louis and this year we're headed to Maui (not really we although that would be pretty sweet) to play in a field that includes Pitt, Arizona, BYU, KSU, Purdue and SDSU. Our game last year in the Big XII Challenge was WVU so someone from the original 12 wasn't forced to play Mizzou and I'm sure that will stay the same this year. Maybe TCU.

We're in the preseason NIT but I don't know that is looking.

Colorado, Seton Hall, UT-Chatanooga and GT are the only others I see scheduled at this point.

At Wichita
At Xavier
Home against UCLA
We will play 2 of these 3 in a tournament: Iowa State, Maryland, and Arizona State.

I know we play @ SMU and @ Clemson, and we'll probably have a game in the SEC/big 12 challenge. Need to not play as many 300+ RPI teams this year though

Ours is going to be shitty yet again as Eric Hyman tries to pad the stats for Billy Kennedy's failure to try to convince the masses that we need to accept our failure of a program.

Our nonconference SOS was ranked 349 out of 351 teams.

That's a monster schedule. And Volfan30 I'm glad to hear you've put differences on Martin aside and are back to posting info. on UT basketball. If we get Rhett and we're really in the running AND bring back Stokes then look out world. Either one could help but both? Please make it so, please.

Jawja bball has a lot of potential to improve if you keep on the same path. Despite the loss and some flaws, I enjoyed watching y'all in the SEC tourney.

As to Pearl and scheduling... he may have a harder time right now than 2015. A lot of the high RPI teams are scheduled early and I don't see an incentive for those teams to play Auburn this year. All they can do is harm their reputation and own RPI if they lose and Auburn's fan base doesn't sweeten the money pot enough for a lot of them. However, he should definitely have Auburn rolling in the scheduling dept. soon enough. I'd just be a bit surprised if it is 2014-15 instead of 2015-16.
