I really hate this thread. I wanted to fire CAG last year. Please understand that my negativism in this thread is really long term optimism. I believe that we can have a good basketball program again one day. It's why I want us to be absolutely terrible this year. I want CAG gone so we can find a better coach. Unless our schedule is rediculously easy and the SEC is even worse than normal (and normally the SEC is about 5-7th in the RPI) we are gonna have a losing season.

If we're bad this year, he'll be gone. I don't understand blatantly pulling against this team before the season even starts. Wait till a bad November and December before that.

Wow... That's really sad, dude. If Grant doesn't make the tournament he's likely done. It's just sad when fans plan to root against their own team before the season has even started...

The reason I want us to be absolutely terrible is because I don't trust Bill Battle to fire him if we have another mediocre season. He should have been gone last year. I am tired if top players constantly being suspended, no ball movement, bigs that can't catch the ball let alone score, defenders that can't play pressure defense without fouling, poor shooters, etc. I remember Wimp Snaderson and a lot of great teams that were capable of beating anyone they play in an era when SEC basketball was in the top 1-3 conference in the nation. I am tired of watching terrible basketball.

F AU obviously, but damn, he's loud and out there and doing everything necessary to put interest in a product that has very little going for it historically or recently. Stuff like this makes me resent Battle for not firing Grant when no one would have blamed him and a good candidate was out there.

81-67 final. Freshmen all had their moments, Levi and Hale looked good, and Taylor seemed more comfortable offensively, though he was still terrible from the free throw line. Not much else to get from the game without Kessens, Retin, and Tarrant.

We play at home tomorrow night at 8 PM against Western Carolina. We opened as a 19 point favorite.
