I think we will make the tournament, which puts us much closer to a sweet 16 than a 10 win team. I could understand people thinking we are an NIT team or even a team with another losing record, but saying we would be lucky to win 10 games is ridiculous.
I don't get how people can think we will be worse. Yes, we lost Releford, but we replaced him with 5 players (4 shooters and a rebounder). We had 9 scholarship players last year. A team with quality depth trumps a 9 player team with 1 stud...hence this past season.

There's still some concern about whether or not this class will actually meet expectations, which has yet to happen under Grant. We've had good classes before, but none of them have worked out well.

I hear what you're saying but this time last year I thought we would be a tournament team and we wound up being a 13 win team.
As far as depth, it seems to erode every off-season and has started again this year.

If Kessens lives up to his potential, and we get above average PG play, I could see this team making the Sweet 16. Although Hale's broken foot scares me, he needs the summer work he will end up missing.
