Put mouse in top right corner of screen.
Press search.
Type in control panel.
Should be there under settings or apps. I forget since I messed my computer up and it will no longer appear.

Somebody already said it . . but "search." Search is everything in Windows 8.

I assume that's because some people choose not to pay three and four times as much for an overpriced and outdated fashion statement?

I guess the Macs are must-haves for the bistro, tho.

If you are using Windows 8, you need to download this, Classic Shell

At one point in time I was a diehard Mac owner until I realized that by using a Mac, you start to lose essential computer skills that are required on normal windows based PCs that more than 90 percent of all jobs use.

Never again.

I'm setting the computer up for a friend. 8 would be unusable without a touch screen.

Absolutely.

i do a lot of both working in the industry.

Don't get me wrong, I like macs and think they are spectacular.

But my heavy mac users know a whole lot about Macs and not much else. The interface is easy and i think that's why they are attracted to it. I have several friends who are great Mac users that knock PCs all the time but if you ask them to get on one and do some basic functions they turn into ruhtards.

Your true powerusers are the guys who like to run linux (I do not, I know how to use it even in CLI, but that's it)

Bottom line:

If you are not doing any video or graphics work on a Mac, you are throwing away money buying one.

well said, 3nOut.

I came to that same conclusion on my own when I was a Mac user. I work in a tech field as well and I began to realize that I was falling behind on windows functions simply because I wasn't actively using windows.

But you can't put a price on that illuminated logo on the lid, or the general air of ill informed superiority that goes with it. And do all Apple products still come with stickers?

Raise your hand if you put one on your car . .

Same here. At one point I had an iPad, iPhone 4, airport extreme, several ipods) at the same time . . I've rid myself of all of them (save the iPods) for better alternatives.

Tell me: is the Mac OS designed as well as iTunes?
