Got some insight this weekend on Coker.
I'm glad Blake Sims is working hard and giving the effort, But this will be Jacob Cokers team this season. He will live up to the offseason hype. " He is an Nfl caliber QB who will end up being a 1st round draft pick. " His arm strength will turn heads once he steps on campus. I can't wait to see what he does with all the reciever talent we have. Roll Tide.

Sounds like an ALL American first year player. Who knew Florida St had two first round QBs on the roster at the same time.

Sounds legit.
Not really.
I don't have any inside information. I know that I watched tape of his game action at FSU and was underwhelmed.
I also know that we probably can't read much (good OR bad) into scrub time game action with backups in the game.
And I know that a lot of FSU people apparently think (or at least give lip service) that Coker will be really good.
I'm taking a wait and see approach, but I'm extremely skeptical of any "1st round draft pick" type talk.
I hope he is at least as good as a McElroy type (i.e., not even a legit NFL talent, much less 1st round, but a solid college QB). Alabama can win with that.

The guy who gave the info is pretty legit. Just ask AU fans about Grady. 
He predicted Rashaan Evans to Bama when nobody was giving us a chance. The guy has some sources like Gruss at LSU, but he doesn't post very often.
Whether or not Coker is legit remains to be seen. If he can be adequate we have more than enough talent around him to make a run.

It is, literally, impossible to say that in March. Can't tell you how many players have looked like all americans in spring and disappeared when the lights come on. And conversely, people who suck at practice but ball out on gameday.

Pretty much every 4 and 5 star player out of high school is NFL "caliber", meaning they have the tools to play in the NFL. That doesn't mean shite right now.

Maybe, maybe not. But unless it's someone who just has everything imaginable for a QB coming out of HS like a Matt Stafford, that's a pretty bold statement.
