always supported the mantra that SEC basketball was not very good

having to rethink this one..LOL!

I have to wonder that if it's an all SEC final, does anybody watch..

I think people will watch a Kentucky/Florida final.

That would be compelling stuff.

With that having been said, SEC basketball is not good. That's like saying the ACC is an awesome football conference because Florida State won the BCS and Clemson beat us.

Florida and Kentucky play very good bball. The SEC does not.

Don't forget Tennessee, they had this meeshagen team whipped as well and fricked up the last 40 seconds of play.

In the 60s, 70s, and 80s, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Vandy were always in the hunt for the NCAA tourney. Alabama had a run for a short while, LSU and Ole Miss did as well.
Mizzou might soon be a threat in basketball, but the SEC will never have the overall strength of he ACC, Big 10, or Big East.

Huh? What about Arkansas in the 90's,UF in the 00's?...SEC had an excellent run in the 90's.Love to see a breakdown of the SEC sweet 16 appearances compared to other conferences in the decade (in the 90's)
