Thought yall would find this interesting if you haven't seen it yet.
they actually once stood sentinel atop the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Building located in Philadelphia’s Independence Square.
From the Plainsman:
When this building was demolished thirty years ago, Mr. Alexander D. Irwin became the owner of the two eagles. Now Mr. Irwin has chosen to make Auburn the proud owner of the stone twins. The gift was arranged by W.C. (Red) Suggs of Kalamazoo, Michigan who is a former president of the Auburn Alumni Association.

Nah, the guy that made it is a Bama fan. A good friend of mine dated his daughter. Was told there were some jerseys and stuff thrown inside. They also painted the inside of it.

Agreed, love this kind of older architecture. With the available technology and machinery at the time, it's pretty amazing stuff they were able to build.

I guess it's impossible to have a single thread on the Rant without someone trying to douche it up.

That's what I've heard. I'm sure they weren't being ungrateful for the work. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some AU items hidden somewhere inside BDS.
