Making a weekend trip up there in April. Any tips on bars to hit up and things to do during the day while getting intoxicated? Will be there all day Friday and Saturday.

I know there are several breweries there. Never been but I've heard great things about the city. Let us know how it goes

It's pretty awesome. Unless you're hardcore right wing. It's a hippie city and it's amazing.

Pretty cool town. Not very big population wise but kind of spread out. Majority of clubs, bars, brewery's and resturaunts are downtown, within a few blocks of where hwy 70 and hwy 25 cross. A lot of them are clustered together, it's easy to walk around and see what's up, it's also pretty easy to drive.

I'm only 20 so I can't really comment on bars/breweries/etc..

It's a cool downtown area and there's a lot of good food.

If I ever need something creative to do with a girl I take them and park and walk around downtown through all of the stores and shite. They love it.

Lesbians in Subarus. Easy to find good beer. The Orange Peel is a cool music venue.

Artsy as heck but a great town. UNC-Asheville is SUNY-New Paltz light (Woodstockers that never made it any further). For one meal drive up to Weaverville and go to Stoney Knob, you'll thank me. Red Stag Grill at the Grand Bohemian for brunch. Stay away from Oyster House, not so good.

Get out of town and enjoy the outdoors, not much better than that.

Would love to but everything I do would be as a big group. Its our formal and I'm sure none of the guys and their dates wanna go out to the woods and listen for turkeys like I would want to

Pretty sure they have some insane amount of breweries so it sounds like a cool place to me. I went once but it's been ten years or so, beautiful place.

Breweries, shops and art galleries. Probably catch some good live music at several venues downtown. Biltmore Estate is a must see at least once in your life. It takes about 4-5 hours to do the whole house and grounds tour.
