WV runs the HUNH as I recall and will be an early indicator but the real test will be UF. Florida had a lot of bad injury luck and has a lot of players. If Bama gets by that one it will be the Iron Bowl for the West again.

The Mississippi Schools will be better, just not good enough. This will be more like the early Saban teams very run oriented but enough of a passing game to keep the defenses honest. WR is loaded.

OLine will be fine and if they can get the center to keep some weight on they will be huge with the other starters all being 320 or larger. It will be power running with a bigger Yeldon(221)a bigger Henry(241) and the lightning quick Kenyon Drake.

Defensively they should be about as good and maybe deeper on the front seven.

It all boils down to QB and we have had pretty good results with first time starters.

You don't have all those number one classes and not just reload every year.

Best worry about LSU. I would be with those losses on offense.

You have a point, but there's more than one team in the division that has shown it can reload.

Alabama isn't facing 2011 West Virginia. The two teams you listed are coming of 4-8 seasons. Injuries got the better of Florida, and I expect Muschamp to develop another strong defense this season; Alabama's offense versus Florida's defense will be the real test. Heck, Florida's rumored HUNH offense might start gelling when they face Alabama.

I think you're missing a school.

The only reason we have to be worried about LSU is the "It is always a tough game" thing. And even then, 2 of the last three have been won by Bama by 21 points, so in theory that trend is dying. In reality it isn't though.

24-14 type of game no matter who wins.

I would 100% agree if the game was in Tuscaloosa. I think we make a ballgame of it in BR. Have only lost 2 home games the past 5 seasons, both by the #1 team in the country.

Your potential starter isn't even on campus yet.

The SEC west is going to be brutal. Auburn with a possible top 10 team, LSU with a possible top 10 team, Bama with a possible top 10 team, Ole Miss with a likely ranked team, Arkansas in year two of Bert, Miss St with a dangerous QB and A&M should at least field a very competitive team. The NC very likely runs through the SEC west again.

Bama has the deepest, most talented roster in CFB and the best coach in CFB. I think they'll be just fine.

8-5

Kiffen will somehow make some comments about rebuilding now that he's there.

Trailer parks will erupt in gunfire and flames.
