You can either have ridiculous singing chops, and not be very athletic, or you can be a freak athlete that can't sing. Which would you choose?

I'm going with singing, and I'd like to have a voice like Christon Gray's/ John Legend's. Athletes bodies can go bad quickly, but singers can still serenade the ladies late into their lives.

Which would you go with and what specific athlete or singer would you want to be similar to?

Athlete all day.

Singing probably has the edge, but if I can win one of the most prestigious titles in the world then I'm all for it.

If I had to choose an athlete, it would probably be LeBron or Paul George.

Depends on just how far your ability goes.

My choice would be for the option that generates the most cash during my lifetime.

If it was a top notch you were the best in the world conversation type thing I would go singing all day. If just really awesome but not at that top echelon I am thinking athlete.

The cheeses are bringing up good points. Let's just say either way, you'd be considered one of the top 5 of current singers/athletes

Singing. I can sing for the rest of my life. Plus I don't have to work near as hard as the top athletes do.

Then definitely singing chops.

Less wear and tear, more money, plus you can just about decide where you perform. No drug testing.

Freak Athlete, hands down.

There are plenty of good voices out there that have just never been "discovered". Unfortunately, singers' futures are in the hands of others (record executives)that think more about what will sell, regardless of raw talent...see Kesha, Britney Spears, etc. The freakiest of the freak athletes always rise to top if they have the right work ethic.

Someone is not very familiar with the music industry. In demand musicians live on the road, doing concerts all over the world. More than a handful of great musicians have also not made a dime because of shitty record deals, crooked management etc.

I'd definitely go with athletic ability. Be a top 5 soccer player in Europe. Make a shite ton of money until I retire in my mid 30s, maybe go into coaching in my early 40s.

I'd rather be a great guitarist/drummer than a great singer.

Not really. Singing ability diminishes over time just like athletic ability.

It's easier to be a pro athlete than a pro singer. So athlete.

Singing. I already have athletic ability but like others who came before me, age has started to take it away. Pretty soon 3 toed sloths will be more athletic than me. What an insult this whole getting older thing is!

It's funny, most of these arguments are all about cash, but one reason I'd rather take the singing is because that gives me the full ability to express myself. I like to write now, but I can't express it through music like I would like to.
