I can think of a few off the top of my head:

1959 Ole Miss
2011 LSU
2001 Florida
1983 Auburn
1993 Auburn
1945 Alabama
1966 Alabama
1977 Alabama
1995 Florida
2004 Auburn

Anyone got any others?

Really really good, but no one will remember them due to playing unquestionably the best team of all time.

I was also going to mention our 01 team but saw they were listed. Man that team was legit, can't believe we lost to the hillpeople that year.

2001 VOLS were stacked. #tDecline began after our SECCG loss to LSU.

Had that game been played in September as it was originally scheduled, I think Florida wins it by 10 points.

You could add a lot of teams just from the past few years.

2008 Alabama
2009 Florida
2012 Georgia

Those teams were pretty much one win away from a NC, they would have all beat whoever they played in the NC game

Hard for me to term them a "damn good" team when they were curbstomped by Cackalacky 35-7.

"Damn good" teams don't get beaten by four touchdowns.

2001 Miami has been elevated to GOAT status simply because of how well their athletes did in the pros. Don't get me wrong, that was a great team that is definitely in contention for GOAT status. But they did not dominate the competition quite like Nebraska did in 1995.

'01 Miami has become a legend due to its roster (Clinton Portis, Andre Johnson, Jeremy Shockey, Sean Taylor, Willis McGahee, Vince Wilfork, etc.) but they had a couple of close shaves throughout the season. 1995 Nebraska did not. They killed everyone they came up against, including 4 teams that finished in the Top 10.

I said the greatest team of all time, maybe you didn't hear me.

But but but but but but everyone on that defense went to the NFL!!!! I dont' care, this isn't about the NFL, it's about college. 95 nebraska is by far the best college team ever and anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

Yeah, that game sucked. But We came extremely close to beating the eventual National Champs in the SEC championship game, and probably would have gone on to destroy ND

Some very good UGA teams that didn't win it all were 81, 82, 02, 07, and '12.

Not saying those are all top 10 in SEC history, just putting our nominees out there.

2007 UGA, not the 2012 UGA squad, is the correct answer.

2007 UGA would've beaten LSU in the SECCG by 17+.
