We've got 11 pts and it's almost halftime, I've seen 5th grade girls teams score more than this

Well, we DO have 2 new PG's coming in, right?

Whether or not either of them actually ends up being better than Wade/Gulley remains to be seen.

and how is that going to help in what the title of the thread said?

Guess not too many people have seen Beard play much.

Uhhh...How would Chris Paul make a team better if they had been relying on Steve Blake?

Good PG play = dump off passes for easy buckets down low, more open 3's, more pressure on the defense all around.

There's no guarantee we won't have similarly crappy shooting games with good PG play, but the chances are lower.

it's almost like PGs have an important role to play in basketball

So you are on the same bandwagon as the rest with the "We need a true PG" to get Hogball back? You folks and your rosy red glasses. Find an excuse and hitch your wagon to it.

"Anton is going to save the day!"

"Nick Babb will light it up"

"PG can dish it to Trey Thompson for the flush"

Fact is, Mike Anderson is a lazy recruiter and this team will be extremely lucky if they make the tournament next year.

The one thing they have going for them is the fact that the SEC will be down from where they are this year.

Really, you go to school to learn this? Let me ask you, does the PG get to dribble the ball, too?

I never said we HAD to have elite PG play to win. But having good/great PG play would certainly make it much, much easier.
