The shockers should be able to at least hold their own inside... and their guard play appears to be significantly better... but Kentucky is playing pretty good ball right now.
IMO, this is the most interesting game of the first three rounds.

It's a cool contrast in styles -- youth/athleticism vs experience/team -- plus the history that's on the line with WSUs streak.

Very well. If Wichita State can't get going from behind the arc, they are royally fricked.

UK is very young and if I recall it took me to my late 20's to master the shocker.

Same could be said of UK... if they can't stretch the defense they have no chance...
Wichita doesn't have as much size inside as last year, but they're a better overall team.

Disagree. UK bigs will own the Shockers'. Guard play is another story, though.

If they hold their own inside, they will win. I think UK has an obvious mismatch in size and athleticism.

I disagree. I see UK abusing them down low. Wichita State has almost no size down low and that's not good if you're playing against a bigger, more physical and athletic team.

Especially as good as UK is on the offensive glass. This game also sets up a UK vs UL Sweet 16 matchup.

They have decent size... they're not Tennessee or anything, but they've got more than someone like Duke.
WCS is the key... if he shows up, UK has a very good chance... He's just so bit or miss.

Just wait for the unstoppable force that is auburn in a couple years. Neither will have a prayer. I swear I am already sick of the basketball threads started by AU fans.

Wichita State has mid major bigs. Kentucky has pro bigs. They have no one that can physically matchup with Randle, WCS, and Johnson.
Wichita has elite college level guards though. The Harrison's are gonna have to be big for Kentucky.
Should be a fun matchup.

Wichita played Bama in Tuscaloosa earlier in the year and won 72-67. The game was tight til the very end and with a break or two they would not have won.
They can be had.
