And we're supposed to crown his arse as the best ever?

A&M, do you realize that you had your best player ever and you never finished higher than 3rd in the division?

All you guys did was replace Arkansas in the pecking order of the SEC West.

I don't see you guys competing for an SEC West title for at least two years at the very earliest. You might compete for a West title once every 4 or 5 years. Don't give me some top 10 recruiting BS. You guys have been located in Texas since God took a shite that day.

We didn't have just our best player ever, we had THE best player ever. It just wasn't a great team. He literally won a game where the defense didn't force a punt. Tebow, Cam, Ingram, etc none of those Heisman winners ever won a game where their defense was incapable of forcing a punt.

Tebow eventually won his division as a starter in 2008 though. While he didn't get it in his Heisman year, he did get two in 2008 and 2009.

Agreed

4-8 next season, best case scenario

A&M's GOAT yet they can't even win a title let alone finish above 3rd in their division.

Do you realize he played on a team with only one top 10 class on the roster?

I mean I realize this is a troll and everything but you could at least do a little research. Steve Owens won the 1969 Heisman and OU had a 6-4 record and finished in 4th place in the Big 8

Notre Dame had a Heisman winner and a losing record in the same season.

I think that may be the year Johnny Majors deserved the Heisman....but the Golden Boy won it. Is that correct?

IDK, its hard enough naming who won it in 2000 and over who, let alone back in the 60s.

That is correct. Paul Hornung won it, and Notre Dame finished 2-8.

Johnny Majors finished second and UT finished the regular season 10-0 (wound up losing the Sugar Bowl, but of course, that was after the Heisman was awarded).

Thanks. That was a little before my time. My Dad always talked about them "giving that SOB the Heisman over Majors".
