Neyland was better than Bear but when you get to that level it hardly matters.

Neyland beat Bear Bryant when he was just a pup of a head coach. Bryant went on to win 14 SEC championships and 6 national championships. Neyland only was able to win 6 SEC titles and 1 national title. He's essentially the equivalent of Steve Spurrier.
