Can Bruce Pearl Recruit Immediately?

Barbee didn't exactly leave a stacked roster. Can Pearl hit the recruiting trail right away or does he have to wait until August?

Middle of April is when the late signing period begins. Recruits can enroll as soon as they graduate and are cleared by the NCAA clearinghouse.

I'm not positive but I think some of his assistants from UT also have the show cause that expires in August.

Could be. I'm trying to find out for sure from some people that would know for sure.

When is the last time an AU bball coach been near a tv camera not run by AUHD?

I'd bet Longwood will stay. Miller would be big to keep but sometimes it's better to just clean the entire slate even if that means you lose out on a good young coach

No offense to Longwood. I never heard of him. But I hope the staff is Ryan Miller and former Pearl assistants Tony Jones and Steve Forbes. Forbes has seemingly been Gold everywhere he has been and is with undefeated 1 seed Wichita State now.

The first name would have helped. I know who Sam Longwood is. I thought we were strictly talking assistant coaches based on the rest of the convo.
On another note I just thought about how good Price and Shaq Johnson would be if they were here under a Pearl system and got a momentarily sad banana.
