I'm not a fan of Arkansas, but I could've made a case for them to get in over someone like BYU.

I take this to mean: "You lost to UGA, thereby contributing to UGA tying for second in the SEC. Therefore, we felt it only right to punish you infidels for what is essentially an unforgivable crime surpassed only by a scenario in which Auburn were to tie for 3rd in the conference."
